Title: | Deposition and investigation of opto-electronic properties of organic semiconductor materials | Authors: | Lee, Chea Beng | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Materials::Organic/Polymer electronics | Issue Date: | 2006 | Source: | Lee, C. B. (2006). Deposition and investigation of opto-electronic properties of organic semiconductor materials. Doctoral thesis, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. | Abstract: | In this project, electrical and optical characteristics, surface morphology, and nitrogen/carbon ratio of (Alq3) were studied as the function of thermal evaporation rate. The results showed that the deposition rate of Alq3 has direct influence on the surface roughness of the film and luminescence efficiency of device. A new approach to fit the Time-of-Flight measurements results has been proposed in order to estimate the carrier mobility instead of using graphical method (Scher-Montroll model). This new approach is based on the Gaussian distribution of carrier velocity. The trap depth FB of trapping states of pure Alq3 and the effectiveness of carriers escaping process from trapping states with temperature were calculated based on modified Poole-Frenkel (PF) model. | URI: | https://hdl.handle.net/10356/5068 | DOI: | 10.32657/10356/5068 | Schools: | School of Materials Science & Engineering | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | open | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
