P'u Sung-ling is expert in writing weird, uncanny and supernatural things, especially virago and freak. Why did he write this? Did he try to shirk from something? People always dream about future and desire to fulfill their wishes, all of these can be done in dream. Therefore, dream becomes people’s hope. Not only the form of dream are different, but also the purpose. Some characters are voluntary access to an unreal world, some are forced.
