Title: | Next-generation touch-interface for statina acoustic holography | Authors: | Cao, Lu Yan | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Computer science and engineering::Information systems::Models and principles | Issue Date: | 2010 | Abstract: | In the past, it had been demonstrated that nearfield acoustical holography (NAH) was a useful tool for visualizing noise sources in automotive and aircraft industries. Thus NAH would be a good practice to reconstruct a source field in the next generation of touch interface. Planar is one of the two most widely used among the various nearfield acoustical holography techniques. Therefore, the implementation of NAH in planar coordinate had been used for this project. Its performance in plastic board and ideal simulating environment will be analyzed in this report. This report will firstly introduce the theories and algorithms the author had investigated during this final year project. Later it will compare the results of simulation and practical experimental models. The author had achieved her objectives as reliable results were obtained if appropriate procedures were followed. Thus it was concluded that acoustical holography can be flexible and robust tool for source localization based on nearfield measurements. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/40701 | Schools: | School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
