Title: | Look on the bright sight : an illustration project inspired by three visually-impaired photographers. | Authors: | Ng, Jill Hui Wen. | Keywords: | DRNTU::Visual arts and music::Drawing, design and illustration | Issue Date: | 2011 | Abstract: | Look on the Bright Sight is an illustration project, inspired by the words, works and lives of three visually-impaired photographers; Bruce Hall, Chris Gampat and Mark Nicol. All content and communication shared for this project was constrained within the restrictions of the online world. This project sought to examine illustration in the context of the Internet culture of sharing, trading and creating. My proposition is that the digital era of illustration has changed and moulded how people perceive, approach and understand illustration. Artists and illustrators themselves have changed their methodologies in creating artwork, and have changed how they experience and interact with their audience and the illustration industry. Internet technologies have opened new avenues for illustrators to create new work. Looking at illustration within this contemporary context, this project seeks out a creative and fresh way that will challenge the possibilities of illustration online. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/44440 | Schools: | School of Art, Design and Media | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
