Title: | Implementation of a routing service | Authors: | Ng, Hui Xiong | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Computer science and engineering | Issue Date: | 2017 | Abstract: | Vehicle ownership has been high in Singapore, rising from 754,992 in 2005 to 957,246 in 2015. Given the limited land in Singapore, it is not sustainable to build more roads in-order to cater to the vehicle population. The Government of Singapore has thus implemented various policies in sight of maintaining vehicle population at levels supportable by road infrastructure and also ensuring a smooth traffic network. This report will investigate on numerous price (weight) adjustment policies to improve traffic network while keeping any inconveniences to motorists at a minimum. The determinants to evaluate the policies are road network performance and motorist’s welfare. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/70162 | Schools: | School of Computer Science and Engineering | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
