Title: | Circuit design and experiment of on-chip homodyne detector | Authors: | Shen, Yuan | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Electrical and electronic engineering::Electronic circuits | Issue Date: | 2019 | Abstract: | Quantum information science has recently drawn great attention of the world, as a result of the successful realization of quantum processors by renowned developers (i.e. IBM, Google, …) and the first quantum satellite ‘Mozi’ launched by China. There are many supporting theories and methodologies but the implementation of quantum information science is by no means an easy task. Optical homodyne detection has been implemented as a fundamental tool in a range of quantum continuous variable technologies, for example, continuous variable quantum key distribution and quantum teleportation. So far, the conventional configuration for homodyne detection has been free-space optics, which imposes a dimensional limitation for future system integrations. In this project, an integrated balanced homodyne detector on silicon photonic chip is built and its performance is evaluated. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/77740 | Schools: | School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering | Organisations: | Lab of Valens | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
