Title: | Development of a chatbot for medical information enquiry | Authors: | Lie, Kimberly Zi Ying | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Electrical and electronic engineering | Issue Date: | 2019 | Abstract: | Chatbots are now emerging as the front-door to most businesses and industries, including the medical industry. The chatbot developed in this project will specifically be for pregnant women, since pregnancy is the very root of human development, and requires special care and attention. Although mobile applications for pregnancy are rampant, chatbots for pregnant women have hardly surfaced. The current chatbots for pregnant women found on Facebook Messenger are simple and only share blog posts. Therefore, this project aims to develop a smarter chatbot for pregnant women to benefit from. In this project, Riley the chatbot will be equipped with features such as making appointments, viewing the different hospitals and doctors available in a specified area, and more. The chatbot aims to arm the user with all the information needed to ensure the safe delivery of his/her child, as much as possible. In addition, Riley will also tailor its information based on the user’s current week, without the user needing to repeat it for every interaction. As a result, a more personalized feel will be given to the correspondence between the chatbot and the user. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/77803 | Schools: | School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
