Tan Teck Yong obtained his Ph.D. in economics at Columbia University in 2017. He did his undergraduate studies at the National University of Singapore and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in applied mathematics and a Bachelor of Social Science in economics with 1st Class Honors. His research interest is in applied microeconomic theory with a focus on industrial organization, personnel and organizational economics, and information economics. He has taught courses in microeconomic theory, game theory, organizational economics and labor economics at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
