Research:
SinHui studies how individuals simultaneously manage their professional and personal identities, and how experiences in one domain influence motivation and well-being in the other. Her research focuses on identifying social and organizational resources that can help individuals overcome challenges and thrive across multiple life domains. She also explores how structural factors—such as family dynamics, gender roles, socioeconomic status, and cultural norms—shape employees' work-life management attitudes and behaviors.

SinHui's work has been published in leading academic journals, including the Journal of Applied Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, and Personnel Psychology. Additionally, she serves on the editorial review boards of the Journal of Applied Psychology and the Journal of Management, both of which are FT50 journals.

Teaching:
SinHui has taught undergraduate courses in Organizational Behavior, Cultural Intelligence, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, and Research Design and Measurement in Nanyang Business School or Michigan State University. She engages and develops students through experiential learning, encouraging them to think critically and embrace the fluid nature of knowledge. She strives to help them understand that complex business and social science challenges rarely have a single correct answer. SinHui has consistently received stellar teaching ratings from students.

Industrial Engagement:
SinHui has collaborated with organizations including Civil Service College, People's Association, and Public Service Division in Singapore, as well as Google in the US. In these roles, she led quantitative and qualitative research on employee engagement, leadership development, and staff selection and retention.
