Dr. Hui-Teng Hoo is Senior Lecturer and Director of Accreditation at the Nanyang Business School, Nanyang Technological University Singapore. She leads the Business School’s Assurance of Learning (AOL) innovation which looks into pedagogies, assessments and feedback for effectual teaching and learning.

In 2009, the AACSB International (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) awarded the School with a World-wide Best Practice AOL recognition for the design and implementation. In 2015 and 2020, the business school won further accolades for its innovation and continual improvement in AOL.

Dr. Hoo teaches the cultural intelligence courses -- “Cultural Intelligence: How to be an Explorer of the World”, "Cultural Intelligence at Work" and "Cultural Intelligence: Making the World Your Classroom".

A multiple teaching award educator, she is a recipient of the 2015 NTU Inaugural John Cheung Social Media Award for the use of social media in her repertoire of teaching approaches; the 2019 Nanyang Business School Division of Strategy, Management and Organisation Teaching Excellence Award; the 2021 Nanyang Education Award (School); the 2023 Nanyang Education Award (College); and 2024 Nanyang Business School Division of Leadership, Management and Organisation Teaching Excellence Award.

For her service to the University and School, she is awarded the 2021 National Day Commendation Medal and the 2024 Nanyang Business School Service Excellence Award.

Dr. Hoo holds dual doctorates in education from University College London (United Kingdom) and Nanyang Technological University (Singapore).
