Fernandez Navprakash joined Nanyang Business School in August 2006. Prior to joining the University, he had about nine years of post-qualification legal experience gained in commercial/corporate legal practice and as regional in-house counsel in multi-national corporations including stints in two global petrochemical corporations where he provided legal advise and services on a wide range of legal and regulatory issues relating to the corporation’s business and its strategic plans. He is a member of the Singapore Academy of Law and is an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore and has been admitted to the Roll of Solicitors,England and Wales.
Fernandez’s main area of expertise is in the field of company law. He currently coordinates and teaches “Company Law and Corporate Governance”, a core module for the Bachelor of Accountancy degree program. Fernandez also co-teaches an elective course titled “Law of Commercial Transactions”. Fernandez was also instrumental in designing and teaching various other elective courses previously such as “Corporate Insolvency Law and Practice” and “Commercial and Company Law”.
