Dr Akshar Saxena is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Nanyang Technological University. His research interests are in applied economics and econometrics with a focus on health, demography, and behavioral economics. His research covers economics of aging, health sector reform, and fiscal policies pertaining to pensions and retirement. He has been a consultant to the World Bank and USAID and has previously worked for Ministry of Health in Singapore.
