David is a full-time faculty with the Nanyang Business School (NBS), where he teaches business and leadership communication, negotiation, persuasion, and strategy consulting. With multiple award nominations for teaching excellence since 2013, David has more recently been conferred the Nanyang Education Award by university leaders, and voted NBS Teacher of the Year by students.
He conceptualized, implemented, and led a capstone strategy consulting module for the Nanyang MBA programme as Director, Strategy Projects At Nanyang (SPAN), and has mentored MBA teams on numerous consulting and executive-level engagements with Fortune 500 firms and global organizations.
Prior to joining NBS, David was a business owner, strategy consulting partner, and industry analyst, with extensive experience advising companies looking to grow and expand in their industry sectors.
He ran the Asia-Pacific operations of a New York analyst firm, and was a partner at a strategy consulting firm, where he successfully set up, developed and grew its practices across Asia-Pacific and Japan. Some of his earlier working experiences included leading an Asia-Pacific analyst team at a Boston analyst firm, running a strategy consulting and research business, and consulting to one of Northern Europe's largest multinational firms.
He has a PhD in organizational psychology at the Nanyang Business School, holds a MBA from the Melbourne Business School, and have topped his BA degree with distinction.
