Academic Profile

Nagaraju Thummanapalli is Senior Assistant Manager (Media) and Faculty Associate at the School of Art Design and Media (ADM). He has completed his Master of Sciences in Mathematics and Master of Technology in Computer Science at Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, Prashanthi Nilayam. He worked on Message Passing Interface (MPI), Cell Broadband Engine, and developed several optimization implementations using parallel programming techniques.

He worked as Software Engineer in Singapore and India on Digital Video Broading applications on setup box stacks and media technologies. He had joined Gamelab at the School of Computer Engineering, NTU as a Research Associate and developed programs to optimize image tracking using parallel programming techniques.

At ADM he develops software and collaborates research works in stereoscopy, motion capture, immersive environments (full-dome, VR), interactive art installations, and fashion technology. He is currently Senior Assistant Manager for the media art division which includes animation, film & photo, and also Faculty Associate for Interactive Media. He develops, supports and creates an environment for interdisciplianary projects.
