Associate Professor Lim Kam Ming is the Head of the Psychology and Child & Human Development Department at National Institute of Education (NIE), and the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore.
As the NIE Registrar (July 2017-June 2024), Dr Lim leads an award-winning team of Student Services Professionals at the NIE Office of Academic Administration and Services to develop policies and provide, implement, and administer major services and activities for students. In his previous positions as Associate Dean for programme planning and management at the Office of Teacher Education (2009-2017) and the Sub-Dean of the Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) programmes (2007-2009) at NIE, he played a key role in the development and revamp of NIE Teacher Education programmes. Dr Lim chaired various curriculum/policy review and enhancement committees at NIE. He is serving/served on committees at the Singapore’s Ministry of Education (MOE) for the review and implementation of various education policies. Dr Lim has obtained several research grants worth more than two million Singapore dollars. He was the President of the Asia-Pacific Educational Research Association (2018-2021), Council member of the World Education Research Association (2015-2019), President of the Educational Research Association of Singapore (2015-2019) and a NTU Senator (2018-2022).
