Dr Teo Yong Chua is a Senior Lecturer with the Natural Sciences & Science Education Department at the National Institute of Education, Singapore. He obtained his BSc. (Hons) and Ph.D. in Chemistry from the National University of Singapore. His research is directed towards the development of new sustainable catalytic systems for the generation of carbon-heteroatom bonds and C-H functionalization reactions. Yong Chua teaches a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, ranging from organic chemistry, organometallic chemistry, analytical chemistry to green chemistry. He has received the NIE Excellence in Teaching Commendation Awards in 2011, 2015 and 2020.
