Dr Kit is both a senior lecturer in the Psychology and Child & Human Development Academic Group and a practicing psychologist in clinical, educational and corporate settings. Prior to her current appointment, she had worked as a psychologist in the psychiatric ward of Mount Elizabeth Hospital, and with children and adolescents in school and centre-based settings in the Children-At-Risk Empowerment Association (CARE Singapore). She is proficient in both counselling and psycho-educational testing services, and serves as an SRP Approved Supervisor for both disciplines. As a researcher, Dr Kit focuses primarily on counselling processes and interventions for at-risk and delinquent adolescents, individual, group and on-line counselling processes, as well as andragogical approaches for counsellor education.
