Dr Carol Tan currently teaches courses in the Master of Education (Special Education), Diploma in Special Education and in-service course for Teachers Trained in Special Needs. She also supervises practicum for Allied Educators (Learning and Behavioural Support) and Special School Teachers. Dr Tan's research interests include child and adolescent psychopathology, particularly in relation to developmental trajectories to antisocial behavior, youth mental health, and behavioural interventions and support. Her research also extends to teacher training specifically the use of positive teacher language. While Dr Tan's research is very much quantitative-based, she does have some experiences in qualitative research methods.
