Dr Toh Pee Choon is an Associate Professor at the Mathematics & Mathematics Education Academic Group of the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University. Dr Toh received his PhD in pure mathematics from the National University of Singapore. His main research interests is on partition functions, congruences and properties satisfied by such functions, as well as their connections to modular forms and elliptic functions. He also has interests in mathematics education research, with particular emphasis on mathematical reasoning and problem solving.
Dr Toh's main area of expertise is in number theory, specifically the theory of partitions, modular forms and elliptic functions. In mathematics education, he is interested in problem solving, proofs and reasoning, and the teaching of mathematics at the undergraduate level.
