Dr Tan Chee Soon is a senior lecturer at the National Institute of Education and a Registered Psychologist in Singapore. She obtained her Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota. Early in her career, she worked as a secondary school science teacher and as Pupil Counsellor with the Ministry of Education. She was also an Educational Psychologist with MOE and provided assessment and consultation services to schools. Her research interests are in literacy assessment and intervention as well as systems support for students with reading difficulties.
