Dr Roszalina Bte Rawi
Lecturer, National Institute of Education - Asian Languages & Cultures
Roszalina Rawi is a Lecturer at the Asian Languages & Cultures (ALC) Academic Group, National Institute of Education (NIE), Nanyang Technological University (NTU). Prior to joining NIE in 2010, Roszalina taught Malay Languages in secondary schools in Singapore. She is currently Practicum Leader for the ALC Academic Group. She is also on the NIE Assessment Taskforce. Roszalina conducts workshops for teachers on Assessment for learning. She supervises undergraduates for their Educational Research and URECA project papers. She has also served as an assessment consultant for MUIS and the National Institute of Early Childhood. Roszalina’ public service roles include serving as: Member of 2024 GCE O-Level and N-Level Malay Language Examination Syllabus Review Committee, Judge for Anugerah Guru Arif Budiman by MLLPC (2019-2021)
Trained as an assessment for learning specialist Roszalina teaches in the area of assessment for learning, formative assessment and assessment reform. Her current research interests include: assessment, Malay society in Singapore, educational issues in heritage language classrooms, transgender youths, vulnerable groups in the Malay community.

Roszalina was the recipient of the Overseas Graduate Scholarship in 2013 and she pursued her PhD in Education at the University of Cambridge, UK.
