Ibrahim H. Yeter, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Natural Science and Science Education Academic Group in the National Institute of Education at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Prior joining NIE/NTU, he was appointed as a Postdoctoral Fellow at both the John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Harvard University and the School of Engineering Education in the College of Engineering at Purdue University.

He has national and international teaching experience and is a certified and licensed educator both in his native country and the US. He also actively collaborates with various distinguished scholars from Europe and the US as an advisory board member for research and grant programs. He is currently an affiliated faculty member of the Centre for Research and Development in Learning (CRADLE) at NTU. In addition, he is currently the director of the World MOON (More Observation Of Nature) Project, which has enabled several thousand students and their teachers worldwide to collaborate on aerospace engineering and STEM education focused activities.

Throughout his academic career he has worked with several international and national projects and grants related to computational thinking & pedagogy, STEM/engineering education and learning analytics in a diverse urban context with over 28M USD in funding within K-16 grade levels. The funded projects were supported by, but not limited to, the U.S. Department of Education, the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and the Melinda and Bill Gates Foundation.

His current research focuses on Computational Thinking & Pedagogy, Engineering Education & Psychology, Artificial Intelligence in Education, Machine Learning Education, Design Thinking, and Learning Analytics.
