Rosanne Jocson is a Research Scientist at the Centre for Research in Child Development at the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University. She received her MS and PhD in Developmental Psychology from the University of Michigan.
Her research investigates the risk and protective factors associated with parenting and children’s socio-emotional development and learning. Prior to joining NIE, she was the Research Director of Parenting for Lifelong Health Philippines, a multi-sectoral collaboration that engages in cultural adaptation, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based parenting intervention programs to prevent violence against children from low-income families. Her current research is focused on the role of parents and teachers in facilitating positive social-emotional and school outcomes among children and adolescents. She aims to translate this work into interventions, programs, and policies that can be applied to family settings, schools, and community services.
