Qianqian Pan is a Research Scientist at the National Institute of Education (NIE), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. She received her Ph.D. degree from the Research, Evaluation, Measurement, and Statistics program in the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Kansas, the USA, and her Master's and Bachler degrees from East China Normal University, China. Prior to joining NIE, she worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the Faculty of Education, The University of Hong Kong.
She received training in psychometrics and advanced statistical methodology with a particular focus on multilevel models (growth models) and diagnostic classification models/cognitive diagnosis models. With a focused research agenda on children’s development and learning in the digital era, her featured example projects included (1) participating in Learning and Assessment for Digital Citizenship and taking the responsibility of developing and validating a digital literacy assessment and tracking students’ growth of digital literacy over time; (2) participating eCitizenship Education 360, which investigates the challenges, wellbeing issues, and status of learning outcomes of different stakeholders (i.e., students, parents, teachers, and school leaders) after the school suspension during the COVID-19 to better support learning and teaching after school resumption; (3) leading a project that focuses on the students’ processing data during online testing.
