Dr. Charu Goel is a Ph.D. in Physics from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, India. She is currently a Principal Research Fellow at The Photonics Institute (TPI), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. Prior to joining NTU, Dr. Goel worked as an Assistant Professor with the University of Delhi, India. She was a recipient of the Sandwich Research Fellowship by the French Embassy, India and The Mistletoe Research Fellowship grant by the Momental Foundation, U.S.A. Her research interests include design and applications of microstructured hollow-core fibers, and development of specialty optical fibers for fiber amplifiers and lasers.
