Joel serves on the faculty teaching entrepreneurship, innovation, design thinking, career development, sociology, social sciences, technology and society at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS).
Joel received his Postgraduate, Honours and Bachelor degrees in Economics and Sociology from the National University of Singapore (NUS). He has extensive experience in education and career coaching, policy research, strategic planning, governance and grants management at the Singapore Government and the Boston Consulting Group (BCG).
Joel is an IBM-certified practitioner in artificial intelligence, data science, cloud computing, enterprise design thinking and was a Ministry of Education (MOE) Career Guidance Counsellor (Advanced Certificate in Career Development Facilitation from SUSS Institute of Adult Learning, Centre for Credentialing and Education, USA).
