I am an Assistant Professor in the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. I obtained my PhD in Political Science from the University of Rochester in August 2022.
My specializations are formal political theory, international and comparative political economy (IPE/CPE), and authoritarian politics. I am particularly interested in understanding how a dictator’s survival strategies interact with the changing global economic environment. My research has been published in leading journals such as International Organization, The Review of International Organizations, Journal of Theoretical Politics, and Social Choice and Welfare.
I received my Master's degree in Economics from Stony Brook University in 2015, where I have taught several undergraduate-level economics courses. I received my Bachelor's degree in Global Business and Information System from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) in 2012. Before coming to the US, I've studied and worked in several different countries and regions, including Poland, France, Russia, Hong Kong, and India.
