Dr Chwee Beng Lee graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a PhD (Learning Technologies) and was the Associate Dean-Higher Degree Research at the School of Education, Western Sydney University where she built a strong higher degree research program with the second largest number of cohorts in the university. Dr Lee has more than 20 years of teaching experience in the secondary school and higher education contexts with three teaching related awards. She was formally the Assistant Head-Learning Sciences & Technologies (LST) Academic Group of NIE. She has research expertise in learning technologies, instructional design for problem solving environment, cognitive transfer, and constructivist pedagogies. She was successful in securing various categories of Australian research fundings and was involved in the Action Learning for Innovation project involving 28 NSW public schools in developing the capacity and skill sets of teachers and leaders to become practitioner-researchers. She was also one of the investigators for an Australian Research Council (ARC) grant that involves the collaboration with four other universities.
