Asst Prof Agnieszka Chalas
Assistant Professor, National Institute of Education - Visual & Performing Arts
Dr. Agnieszka Chalas is an artist, art educator, and Assistant Professor, Visual & Performing Arts, at the National Institute for Education (NIE). Prior to joining NIE, she was an Assistant Professor of Museum Studies at the University of Toronto and taught graduate courses at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE). Her research interests in art education include arts integration as a curricular approach, issues-based art education, art museum education, teacher education, and both assessment and program evaluation in the arts. Agnieszka has a broad base of teaching and senior leadership experience across a wide range of formal and informal learning settings and is an award-winning secondary art teacher.
