Edmund Koo is currently a Senior Lecturer and Associate Director of the Centre of Excellence International Trading (CEIT) at the Nanyang Business School in Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He is also the Academic Director of the Nanyang Professional MBA in International Trading. His industry insights and experience spans across international commodities, supply chain and trading firms, where he was previously the Chief Executive Officer of an Enterprise Singapore accredited Global Trader Programme (GTP) company. Beyond commodities, he was also Chief Financial Officer at a MAS regulated fintech exchange, and Head of Asia at a global payments company. He received his Master of Business Administration from the University of St.Gallen, Switzerland, and is also a Chartered Accountant.
Edmund’s research interests cover areas related to international trading, supply chains and global dislocations in commodities.
Edmund’s current teaching focuses on international supply chains, structured and trade finance, risks, and strategic management in commodity markets.
