Asst Prof Chen Zhimin
Assistant Professor, College of Business (Nanyang Business School) - Division of Banking & Finance
Dr. Zhimin Chen is an Assistant Professor of Finance at Nanyang Business School, Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. He received his Ph.D. in Finance from the Swiss Finance Institute and the University of Lausanne in 2024. As a Chevening Scholar, he obtained his Master's degree from the Imperial College London in 2017. He was also a Visiting Scholar at the Wharton Finance Department, University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Chen's research interests center on the interaction between financial markets and corporate policies, with a particular focus on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues and green transition. He has received several prestigious awards at leading international conferences and competitions, including the Yihong Xia Best Paper Award at the China International Conference in Finance (CICF) and the Runner-up prize in the 4th Annual FIASI-Gabelli School Student Research Competition on ESG.

Dr. Chen has extensive work experience in the industry, including financial regulatory authorities and think tanks. He is a Financial Risk Manager (FRM®). He teaches courses on financial management, with a passion for integrating rigorous finance theories and deep industry insights into his teaching.
