Asst Prof Chen Zhimin
Assistant Professor, College of Business (Nanyang Business School) - Division of Banking & Finance
Dr. Zhimin Chen is an Assistant Professor of Finance at Nanyang Business School, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He earned his Ph.D. in Finance from the Swiss Finance Institute (SFI) and the University of Lausanne in 2024. Previously, he obtained his Master's degree from Imperial College London in 2017 as a Chevening Scholar and was a Visiting Scholar at the Wharton Finance Department, University of Pennsylvania.

His research lies at the nexus of artificial intelligence (AI) and climate finance. He develops and applies cutting-edge AI techniques to problems in asset pricing and banking regulation, and investigates climate-related topics such as carbon markets, biodiversity risks, and green innovation. His work has been honored with the Yihong Xia Best Paper Award at the China International Conference in Finance (CICF) and a runner-up prize in the 4th Annual FIASI–Gabelli School Student Research Competition on ESG.

Dr. Chen has extensive industry experience, having worked with financial regulatory authorities and think tanks. He is a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM®) and is dedicated to teaching finance courses by integrating rigorous theoretical frameworks with deep industry insights.
