Dr Rui Gonçalves is a Lecturer at the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. His research focuses on the formulation and characterisation of intricate self-assembly systems and the molecular organisation of polymers and surfactants. Additionally, his work explores interfacial phenomena and surface modifications for various sustainable applications.
He earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Chemistry from the University of Coimbra (Portugal) and his PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from NTU. Rui has also conducted research at the ISIS Neutron and Muon Source (United Kingdom), the Australian Synchrotron (Australia), and Kemicentrum at Lund University (Sweden).
