Dr Vidya Badrinarayan joined the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) on August 1, 2024, as a Lecturer in the Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering Cluster. She holds a PhD from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and a double master’s degree in Systems Engineering and Project Management from NTU Singapore and Stevens Institute of Technology, USA. Additionally, she has acquired a Postgraduate Diploma in Leadership from a joint program offered by renowned institutions such as MIT, Tuck, and Columbia Business Schools. Her academic journey began with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Madras, India.

Dr Badrinarayanan has taught postgraduate courses at NTU for the past nine years. Prior to joining NTU, she successfully managed numerous information technology projects in the finance sector. She has extensive global experience, having worked in the United States, Singapore, and India.

Vidya's research interests primarily lie in the domains of Systems Engineering, Leadership, Team Development, and Project Management. She has presented and published her work in conferences and peer-reviewed journals.

In her free time, she enjoys travelling, reading books, and solving puzzles.
