Nitin Kumar is an Assistant Professor of Finance at Nanyang Business School, Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore, where he joined in December 2024. Prior to his position at NTU, he served as an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Indian School of Business (ISB). Nitin holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Maryland, College Park, USA. Before pursuing his Ph.D., he completed a B.Tech at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur, India, and an M.S. from the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata, India.

His research interests include Institutional Investing, Empirical Asset Pricing, and Behavioral Finance. Nitin's work has been published in prestigious journals such as the Review of Financial Studies and the Review of Finance. Insights from his research have been discussed and referenced by institutional funds and organizations, including Avantis Investors, Alpha Architect, the CFA Institute, and Principles for Responsible Investing.

Nitin's teaching interests include Investments and Derivatives, and he has previously taught MBA-level courses at ISB.
