Abstract: Redox-active ligands: Structural, spectroscopic, and theoretical studies of ruthenium(II) complexes bearing 2-(2-nitrosoaryl)pyridine ligands and their reduced analogues reveals the redox noninnocence of 2-(2-nitrosoaryl)pyridine (see scheme).
