dc.description.abstract唐代著名史学家刘知几在《史通·论赞》篇中云:“《春秋左氏传》每有发论,假君子以称之,二《传》云公羊子、谷梁子,《史记》云太史公。既而班固曰赞,荀悦曰论,《东观》曰序,谢承曰诠,陈寿曰评,王隐曰议,何法盛曰述,扬雄曰撰,刘曰奏,袁宏、裴子野自显姓名,皇甫谧、葛洪列其所号。史官所撰,通称史臣。其名万殊,其义一揆。必取便于时者,则总归论赞焉。”①这里,刘知几为我们梳理了论赞的流变。与此同时,他还指出史书论赞的写作规范是由司马迁与班固共同确立起来的。如“司马迁始,限以篇终,各书一论”②,说明“论”是附以篇末的位置;又举司马迁的“太史公曰”与班固的“赞”,说明论赞“事无重出,文省可知”③的写作原则。刘知几称此为“迁固之道”,他批评范晔,“爰洎范晔,始革其流,遗弃史才,矜行文彩。后来所作,他皆若斯。于是迁、固之道忽诸,微婉之风替矣”④。然而清代文史学家李慈铭却言:“自汉以后,蔚宗最为良史,删繁举要,多得其宜,其论赞剖别贤否,指陈得失,皆有特见,远过马、班、陈寿,余不足论矣。”⑤对范晔《后汉书》论赞的推崇备至,谓之远远超过司马迁和班固。en_US
