To explore issues in the translation thoughts and practices of Lu Xun by combining the social cultural background of the time and his “intermediate” consciousness is helpful to recognize the important role he played in pursuit of literary and cultural modernity, to understand the oscillation and conflict Lu Xun, a pioneer and explorer, experienced in thought development and practices, and to conduct a diachronic observation of the interaction between Lu Xun and history and future. A re-evaluation of Lu Xun’s position in Chinese literary history and translation history is subsequently achieved.
