Abstract: The main aim of this study was to find out why recycling in Singapore has yet to reach significant levels ever since its introduction. In particular, the study aimed to measure the level of awareness on recycling among the public and determine the causes that lead to ineffective recycling in Singapore. In addition, the study considered how Singapore can draw inspirations from the experience of other nations which are successful in recycling.
