dc.description.abstractThis study seeks to examine growth strategies employed by Starwood Hotels & Resorts Pte Ltd specific to the lodging industry and to explore the impact of these strategies on its expansion in Asia Pacific. In the first section of the paper, previous studies on hotel growth strategies are examined. In the second and third sections of the paper, we trace recent trends in the Asia Pacific lodging industry and examine in detail growth strategies employed by Starwood. A qualitative and quantitative evaluation of Starwood’s performance in Asia Pacific is provided. A summary of its growth strategies and impact on its hotel operations conclude this report.en_US
