The present study was undertaken to explore the effects of autonomy supportiveness on job performance and organizational citizenship behaviour, mediated by intrinsic need satisfaction in organizational setting in an Asian context. 126 pairs of responses were collected from our online and traditional surveys. Significant relationships were found between (1) supervisor’s autonomy supportiveness and organizational citizenship behaviour and (2) intrinsic need satisfaction, job performance and organizational citizenship behaviour. However, the mediating relationship of intrinsic need satisfaction was not found.
