Abstract: This paper examines the trends of the four components of GDP, namely household consumption, investment, government expenditure and net export, in post-reform period. First, a brief literature review is presented. Then, the components of GDP are discussed. Subsequently the policies taken by Chinese government are elaborated. Finally a recommendation and conclusion are provided.
