Abstract: Collagen is the most abundant structural protein in human. However, the main sources of collagen are from pigs (porcine) and cows (bovine), which carry the risk of disease transmittance. Therefore, an alternative source, fish scale-derived collagen, is highly desired and functionalized for drug-releasing applications. [1st Award]
