Abstract: One-dimensional Fe3O4/C composite microrods are synthesized via a facile one-pot solvothermal reaction in the presence of an external magnetic field. When evaluated as an anode material for lithium ion batteries, these Fe3O4/C microrods manifest high specific capacity and excellent cycling performance.
