Abstract: Carbon-coated NiCo2O4@SnO2 core–shell hetero-nanostructures are synthesized by a facile hydrothermal process and subsequent carbon nano-coating. When evaluated as anode materials for lithium-ion batteries, the 3D hetero-nanostructures exhibit enhanced lithium storage properties due to advantageous structural features.
