Abstract: This study aims to examine the potential factors that can significantly affect the prevalence of smoking among local undergraduates. The results show that there are five potential factors causing this prevalence, namely, stress, peer influence, boredom, ease of access to cigarettes and curiosity about the taste of cigarettes.
