Abstract: This research explores the economic linkages between Malaysia and Singapore in view of the recent economic crisis. The objective is to build a Singapore macroeconomic model and investigate the after-effects of Malaysia’s 5 percent fall in GDP on Singapore’s GDP performance through a shock simulation test. This study aims to explore the impact of Malaysia’s GDP on the Singapore economy in terms of employment and consumption as well as investment and trade.
