Abstract: The study discuss factors that constitute possible barriers to knowledge transfer processes and focuses on the role of context variables such as corporate culture and infrastructure in such processes. A field experiment and survey involving 114 managers across different managerial levels in Singapore was conducted to assess whether corporate culture, infrastructure and in particular, motivational factors such as intrinsic and extrinsic rewards influence the outcome of knowledge transfer processes.
