|Keywords:||DRNTU::Business::Accounting::Accountants::Careers and profession||Issue Date:||1998||Abstract:||Two universities in Singapore produces thousands of graduates of different fields and specialisation every year. This study, thus, attempts to explore whether is a common perception amoung local auditing firms with regards to the strengths and weaknesses of local versus overseas accountancy graduates. The findings of the survey showed that employers from local auditing firms do perceive overseas accountancy graduates as more superior than local accountancy graduates. If local accountancy graduates are to compare favorably against overseas accountancy graduates, educators, parents, and local accountancy undergraduates / graduates themselves, have to put in more serious effort.||URI:||http://hdl.handle.net/10356/10607||Rights:||Nanyang Technological University||Fulltext Permission:||restricted||Fulltext Availability:||With Fulltext|
