Abstract: In this project, we use the case study approach to perform an in-depth analysis on how 5 firms in the aerospace engineering automotive industry have been affected by the crisis, their regional developments and strategic moves. The 5 firms are: Toyota, Hyundai, Boeing, DaimlerChryslerand Tata. The firms’ strategies are evaluated using the Porter’s Diamond framework and the SWOT Analysis. Similarities and differences between the 5 firms are also discussed.
