Corporate governance - exploratory research on directors' perspectives.

Abstract

Even though there has been a considerable amount of research done overseas in the area of corporate governance, little research is done onthis area locally. Inspired by the recent developments in corporate governance in Singapore, this project has been conceived out of a desire to learn more about directors' perception of corporate governance in Singapore. Specifically, this exploratory study examines how directors of companies, listed on the Singapore SES mainboard, view some of the corporate governance issues.
